WE HAVE ALLOWED THIS LARGE BODY OF PEOPLE INTO OUR COUNTRY ILLEGALLY, TAKEN NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR DOING IT, AND DON'T ADMIT THE NEGLIGENCE IN ENFORCING THE LAW. ALLOWING THEM TO STAY, MAKING LEGITIMATE TAXPAYERS FOOT THE BILL AS THEY MADE AMERICA THEIR HOME AND EDUCATED THEIR KIDS, THEN ONLY ON MATURITY SAYING--GO HOME!!!llllllllllllll
Does that leave a sour taste in your mouth. IT CERTAINLY MAKES THIS BLOGGER WONDER WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR ETHICS.
YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS BEING IN THIS COUNTRY ILLEGALLY ANY MORE THAN A ROBBER HAS A RIGHT TO STEAL YOUR POSSESSIONS. WHAT HAPPENED TO LAW ENFORCEMENT????????
But we knew it. WE KNEW IT AND DID NOTHING TO STOP THE LAW BEING BROKEN. We could have done the job in the beginning, arresting, deporting, and UPHOLDING THE LAW BUT WE DID NOTHING. When the subject of illegal aliens came up, POLITICIANS, LAW MAKERS, AND CITIZENS CHANGED THE SUBJECT.
SO THE PROBLEM GREW. A PROBLEM THAT CONTAINS 30 YEAR OLD --CHILDREN--OF ILLEGAL ALIENS NOW GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE AND
.........STILL ILLEGAL..........!!!!!!!!!!!!! No wonder they are frustrated. SO IS THIS BLOGGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!TO THINK THAT OUR FINEST MINDS, as well as INTELLECTUALS and PRAGMATIC POLITICIANS LET THIS HAPPEN IS DASTARDLY.
In all the years of illegal allowance of immigration NOT ONE OF OUR BRAINIEST HAS COME UP WITH A SOLUTION THAT MAKES IT RIGHT FOR ALL!!!!!!!!
THIS BLOGGER DOES NOT rank as ONE OF THE BIG BRAINS OR even minor brains. However it comes to my mind that ALLOWING CITIZENSHIP TO QUALIFIED????????ILLEGALS BUT MAKING SURE THAT IT IS COMPLETED IN A GIVEN LENGTH OF TIME OR DEPORTING IMMEDIATELY ON FORFEIT of CITIZENSHIP (A GIVEN LENGTH OF TIME IN YEARS NOT MINUTES) seems not unreasonable.
PLUS possibly A PAYMENT TO THE U.S. GOVERNMENT of a sum predicated on the length of time in the the United States illegally and collecting it on threat of deportation. Just one of a number of ideas this Blogger has THOUGHT workable. REMEMBERING, of course, THAT AS CITIZENS WE ARE RESPONSIBLE when we SUPPORT ILLEGAL ACTIVITY and THAT HAS NOW CAUGHT UP WITH US. The Dream act and other PRESENT legislation does not appear ACCEPTABLE TO VOTERS!!!!!!!!!!SCRAP IT AND COME UP WITH REASONED LEGISLATION THAT CONSIDERS THE RIGHTS FOR ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I might mention that ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES being overlooked OR WINKED AT and allowed will wind up CATCHING UP WITH US AS WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO ONE KNOWS HOW BUT WHEN RESPONSIBILITY IS IGNORED, CONSEQUENCES FOLLOW.
SO, HOW DO WE ACT RESPONSIBLY???? STOP PRETENDING THERE'S NO PROBLEM----------THERE IS. A BIG ONE THAT WILL GET BIGGER!!!!!!!!!!
FIRST, CHANGE THE LAW OF IMMIGRATION TO MORE REASONABLE CIRCUMSTANCES IN THE MODERN WORLD AND THEN ENFORCE!!!!!!!!!!!! IT. If the U.S. does not intend to enforce its laws then DON'T MAKE ANY.
If the laws on substance abuse are no longer valid and more people are breaking them than following CHANGE THEM TO MEET REASONABLE EXPECTATIONS. Or don't make the law.
AMERICA SHOULD NOT PRACTICE HYPOCRISY THEN EXCUSE ITSELF ON THE BASIS OF POLITICS. THE ONLY LAWS THAT ARE RESPECTED ARE THOSE THAT WORK FOR THE MAJORITY OF CITIZENS. And then only those CITIZENS basically mature enough to understand consequences.
WE HAVE A GREAT AND GOOD NATION that sometimes loses its way in the face of the changes that MODERN LIFE presents. However, when we continue to choose not to take action at all and refuse to demand the changes necessary to elicit responsible behavior in our nation, then we are failing our role as citizens.
Again, this blogger calls on the INGENUITY OF OUR CITIZENS for answers to the ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION PROBLEM both in terms of stopping the illegality of it and in terms of SOLVING THE PROBLEMS caused by years of NEGLECT. NOT JUST SMART ALECK COMMENTS OR COMPLAINTS BUT GOOD SOLUTIONS!!!!!!!!
THIS BLOGGER ALSO CALLS OUT THE POLITICIANS TO LISTEN TO THE REALISTIC SUGGESTIONS OF ITS CITIZENS IN TERMS OF THE LEGISLATION NEEDED TO RESOLVE THE ISSUES OF BOTH LEGAL AND ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.
GOOD IDEAS RESOLVE ISSUES. AND KEEP POLITICIANS FROM USING THE DILEMMA OF OTHERS for PERSONAL BENEFIT. THINK ON IT!!!!!!!!!PERHAPS WE ONLY GET A PRESIDENT THAT IS REFLECTIVE OF THE PEOPLE AND THEIR CONSCIENTIOUSNESS AND ETHICS.
