Hope you had as nice a Christmas as this blogger and put aside your economic worries temporarily.

By the way, hope you noticed that the HYPER VENTILATING MEDIA AND PRESS have recently said the same thing  this blogger did some weeks ago-- that the fiscal cliff is all hype. Only they put it this way: "the fall from the cliff won't be very drastic as thought at present." That leaves the way open for more hype later.

And hat's off to the House of Representatives (and Boehner) for escaping many of the socialist's manuevers and holding fast. Even if the Congress is criticized, the buck stops with the President. It is up to him to really mediate compromise  between both sides and he is just not willing to back off the HOSTILE TAKEOVER OF HEALTH CARE IN AMERICA.

SPEAKING OF COMPROMISE:  IT IS SPOKEN OF OFTEN,  RARELY ACCOMPLISHED BY THE  FEW,  AND THE RESULTS OF SAID APPROACH  DICTATED TO THE MANY!!!!!!!!!!!

 Getting two opposing elements to come together in agreement is SELDOM BASED ON REAL COMPROMISE. IT IS BASED ON THE ONE SIDE THAT CAN PRODUCE THE MOST ACES, JUST AS IN POKER. IF YOU HAVE THE BEST HAND AND HOLD ENOUGH ACES, YOU CAN BE VERY CONVINCING.

What we are witnessing in Washington ON ECONOMICS is the same situation we witnessed in the ELECTION. WE ARE A NATION DIVIDED INTO TWO QUIETLY WARRING FACTIONS WHO ARE FIGHTING FOR DIFFERENT BASIC ELEMENTS IN OUR NATION. IT IS LESS ABOUT ECONOMIC WELFARE THAN MORAL WELFARE.

I vaguely considered that there might be CLASSES? IN AMERICA. Sometimes you'd hear of the HIGH CLASS or the LOW CLASS and vaguely the MIDDLE CLASS.  WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!! MOST PEOPLE REACTED THAT IT WAS NONMENCLATURE THAT THE PRESS USED TO MAKE THEIR WRITING SIMPLER-discuss groups for understanding. CLASSES EXISTED IN ENGLAND.  AMERICA LEFT ALL THAT RUBBISH BEHIND WHEN  WE FOUGHT THE REVOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!!

THE PRESIDENT MUST MEDIATE NOT NEGOTIATE POST 136

Hi,

I have been having trouble with Yahoo mail the last 10 days with messages sent back from addresses I know are correct and recent--many from AOL so I hope this will get to all of my list. At least with the post-office, you have somewhere to notify.

This has been a week of reflection on the state of the financial economic world. Recent years have been without a doubt  a GIGANTIC failure for the Communist's economy in MAJOR parts of the world like Asia and Europe. They won't admit to that failure but it still must be troublesome for their future plans. The only real success they have had is taking charge of the Marxist's long planned move to  change America into a Marxist country and they assume that change will bail them out worldwide. Unfortunately, the very thing that made America prosperous and successful is capitalism and Marxists feel they must destroy that economy and replace it with their own vision.

Watching President Obama blame his lack of ability to MEDIATE differences in the tug of war over America's present financial situation is an education in Marxist strategy. HARMONY IS HIS PRIMARY JOB AS PRESIDENT AND HE HAS YET TO FULFILL THAT JOB!!!! IT IS THE CONGRESS' JOB TO BE OBSTRUCTIONISTS TO FINANCIAL PLANS THAT ARE OUT OF REASON!!!!!!!! Obama blames their opposition for the lack of unity in the country, wears them down by constant vocal warfare, and bullies them into a position of greater concessions than should be made. Where is THE PRESIDENT'S SKILL AT COMPROMISE????? A COMPROMISE THAT MAKES BOTH SIDES FEEL LIKE WINNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Communists refuse to recognise our CONGRESS as a MAKER 0F POLICY and continue to use the President as a ruling demagogue when his presidential role in our country should not have the power that it has acquired. DRAMA IN THE FOURTH ESTATE POST 135

Hi,

The economy leaves me at a loss for words. This brinksmanship thing is propaganda at its worst and of course the media loves it. MORE DRAMATICS, MORE LISTENERS, MORE MONEY IN THE BANK-- JUST LIKE THE ELECTION.

It's a strange thing about the press and the media.  HAVING BEEN A MEMBER OF THE FOURTH ESTATE IN THE LONG PAST I watch with shock their present day antics! They are their own worst enemies.When they use politics for their own aims, it makes enemies all around. If a government gains too much control, the first ones to lose are the press and the media either by dictatorial control or annihilation. Of course, the press and media are always willing to instruct people that they should not make the same mistakes twice. THEY OUGHT TO KNOW CONSIDERING THEY DO THIS TIME AND AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

So when they  over- emphasize divisions in the country's decisions and  over-dramatize a financial debt that leaves the best economic advisors gasping, it greatly affects the well being of our country and is reprehensible. Most of the rhetoric is for the media's bottom line. IT IS THE DRAMA that affects the public's reading and listening.  IT IS THE DRAMA that raises subscriptions, listening ratings and promotes  advertising and sponsoring.

This kind of influence-making by the media began with the Viet Nam war. Prior to that time the press had kept a handle on dramatic efforts to scare citizens to death with death. But the unpopularity of the Viet Nahm conflict bought the press public opinion control. Once they discovered what a big money maker that kind of reporting engendered, there was no stopping the onslaught of media and press on the public

I'm not saying that the Press hadn't done this kind of thing before. But they didn't have TV and computers to spread it on a upscale basis nor the proliferation of photography to enhance the drama. With those additions the media became an instrument not for the listeners' good but the equivalent of a horror show called the NIGHTLY NEWS. It no longer sought a fair and unbiased assessment of what was happening in Washington and around the world. It sought the sensational news LIKE GOSSIP MONGERS CHASING CELEBRITIES FOR ANY DIRT TO BE DUG!!!!!!!

How very sad to see what tried to become a noble and upright source of meaning for everyday citizens turn into a CRAZED, BIASED, UNREASONABLE, AND STRIDENT RUN FOR THE SCANDLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In my newspaper time, I heard all the high flown values, restrictions, and lectures on non biased reporting with a viable source that could be validated. It was a strong attempt by newsmen to make investigative reporting into a high minded profession and editors used their RED PEN LIBERALLY keeping everyone in line. BUT TELEVISION HAPPENED. THEN COMPUTERS HAPPENED.

These two mediums never hesitated for a moment going for the MAIN CHANCE AND THE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!  Yes, costs were high. Competition was keen. AND WE WENT INTO AN AGE OF THE NEXT NEW THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SURVIVAL BECAME THE NAME OF THE GAME!!!!!!!!!! MORALS WERE EXPENSIVE AND DIDN'T PROMOTE BUSINESS RAPIDLY.

Newspapers had a choice, however, and could have continued to take the HIGH ROAD BUT THEY PANICKED AS MORE AND MORE PEOPLE STOPPED SUBSCRIBING. IT WASN'T LONG BEFORE THEY SUBCOMBED TO THE EASY ROAD TO ECONOMIC WELFARE. NO WONDER THE MEDIA AND THE PRESS COULD SO EASILY RECOMMEND IT TO THE REST OF US. THEY USED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE TROUBLE IS SIMPLE. ECONOMICS IS ONLY HIGH DRAMA WHEN THERE IS TROUBLE!!!!!!!!!!! And when drama is used to solve ECONOMIC FINANCIAL PROBLEMS, THE SOLUTION OFTEN LEADS TO MORE TROUBLE.  The downside of the solutions is that after the immediate BANG OF A BOOST COMES THE BANG OF A BUST !!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!RECESSION HAS MANY MEANINGS IN MANY FIELDS BUT THE SAME MISTAKES HAPPEN OVER AND OVER AGAIN.  BUST FOLLOWS BOOM AND THE MORE ARTIFICIAL THE BOOM, THE WORSE THE BUST.

Well, in a country's recession, do the VALUES  return. In some ways. People seek God again. Man has to be more honest to find his way in the world.  Folks have to help one another survive. There is less emphasis on the getting and more on the giving. We are all nicer because we HAVE TO BE (isn't that SAD--"HAVE TO BE") and eventually we rebuild toward another boom.

TROUBLE IS, SOME THINGS ARE LOST THAT NEVER RETURN. AND SOME PEOPLE NEVER LEARN BECAUSE  IT'S EASIER TO GO BACK TO OLD FAULTY PRACTICES AND SO IN MANY CASES THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS.

And most certainly that's what we're seeing with our FOURTH ESTATE. THEY ARE NOT SEEING THE PITFALLS OF THEIR PRACTICES NOR RECOGNIZING THE NEED FOR REFORM. At least during my tenure in the newspaper business, they did see the need for reform and made a sincere effort to make it work but the TENACITY of belief when confronted by major media threats was not SOLID ENOUGH.

WHEN THE PRESS LACKS REAL VALUES,  IT IS CORRUPTED. THE USEFULNESS  OF THE PRESS AND THE MEDIA RESTS ONLY IN ITS UNBIASED REPORTING OF FACTS. THE OLD "WHO, WHAT,  WHERE, WHY, AND WHEN" WITHOUT EDITORIALIZING IS THE KEY TO HONEST REPORTING. How long has it been since you could find the five "W"s as we used to call them in a LEAD (first) paragraph of a news story. KNOW WHY? They taught the newbies in journalism school to be editors who tell you WHAT THEY THINK rather than what you need to know--the 5-W's. LET THE EDITOR  DO THE THINKING ON THE EDITORIAL PAGE-that's what he's paid for!!!!!!!!!!!!When you allow everyone to write EDITORIALLY without a byline and bury the facts, you get the kind of garbage today's newspapers represent.

We recognise much of the editorializing on the TV because it's read by an individual although much of the news on media is written by FOLKS BEHIND THE SCENES WHO ARE ACTING AS UNSEEN EDITORS.

So, how do we get at the truth?????????? Not easy!!!!!!!!!!! TAKES A LOT OF THINKING AND READING AND WATCHING. DON'T JUST ACCEPT WHAT THEY TELL YOUR OR THEY PRINT. IF YOU ARE CONCERNED, HUNT FOR THE TRUTH IN A NUMBER OF PLACES. Look on the computer, check newspapers that don't agree, listen to commentators that disagree. But above all REMAIN A SKEPTIC. DON'T BE SPOON FED DRAMA.

OR YOU CAN DEMAND THAT YOUR NEWSPAPER USE THE 5 "Ws" TO REPORT THE NEWS AND THAT COLLEGES TEACH JOURNALISM STUDENTS THE VALUE OF A 'FREE' PRESS THAT PRESENTS THE NEWS NOT WISHFUL THINKING.

ECONOMIC TURKEYS POST 134

Hi,

With Turkey day behind us, it's time to deal with the TURKEYS IN WASHINGTON. Did I ever share my Turkey stories with you? Remember that my Dad retired????to a cattle farm in Central Florida for several years  when I was pre-pubescent. Cows, ducks, chickens, fresh veggies and lots of land. Sounds ideal doesn't it???????That is until his restless spirit decided a crop of TURKEYS bought young and raised free range would bolster income and feed us free.

None of us had every raised TURKEYS, OF COURSE, since we had  prior to these events been basically city folks (city folks in those days had chickens and vegetable gardens) and based our knowledge on chickens. Went fine as long as the TURKEYS were young and simply foraging and eating. THEN THEY BEGAN TO GROW BIG-BIG-BIG AND AS MEAN AS ANY BIRD CAN BE--ONLY BIGGER. THEY RANGED ALL RIGHT ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!!! They were not above pushing, shoving, punching with claws open,  flying at one another,  and biting when they didn't get their way and not JUST EACH OTHER but humans as well. The dog and I being the smallest spent a great deal of time swatting, yelling and barking, and generally trying to escape those DUMB TURKEY'S BEAKS!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE IS NO GREATER DUMB THAN A TURKEY. THEY MAKE A MISTAKE, TAKE SOME SWATTING, TURN AROUND, RUSTLE THEIR FEATHERS AND DO IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE NEVER REGRETTED EATING A TURKEY SINCE!!!!!!!!

NOW IF THAT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE THE COMMUNISTS AND THEIR ECONOMIC ATTITUDES, YOU JUST HAVEN'T BEEN PAYING ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!! MISTAKES JUST DON'T HAPPEN IN THE COMMUNIST PARTY TO HEAR THEM TELL IT. When the Euro fails which is based on Communist collective philosophy. Hey, that's the fault of the people handling the Euro not the basic communist concept!!!!!!!!! When the Wall Street Demonstrators don't raise a crowd, that's the fault of American apathy, not the basic communist concept. When the same protestors attack Walmart's policies, a company that's doing a better job of helping out everyone, customers and workers alike than the communists and people find the COMMUNIST protests  laughable, that's not the basic Communist concept at fault. As I said TURKEYS ARE DUMB--THEY THINK THEY'RE SMART BECAUSE WITH FEW IDEAS THEY KNOW THEM WELL. THEY BULLY  BUT WITH ONLY A FEW IDEAS and WHEN THE IDEAS DON'T WORK, THEY JUST SHAKE THEMSELVES OFF, RUSTLE THEIR FEATHERS-------AND DO IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! AND AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! AND AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT WHAT THEY LACK IN SMARTS, THEY MAKE UP FOR IN PATIENCE. A TURKEY WILL KEEP DOING WHATEVER OVER AND OVER UNTIL WHATEVER IT WANTS SIMPLY YIELDS TO THE BULLYING PRESSURE OR A NEW AVENUE OF GOODIES OPENS UP AND THEY CAN TURN THEIR ATTACK ON IT.

Nature produces turkey-like behavior in all avenues. TURKEYS are great followers. What they see, they do, since most Turkeys have a limited repertoire.They can soon form a group or chorus of cackling, yaking, pecking disorder and as a group they are indeed terrifying. But you understand that all that activity is leading to only one conclusion, their inevitable demise. So it has been for Communism FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS and all over the world and so it will be in this country.

HOWEVER, WHILE IN FULL FLOWER, TURKEYS MAKE AN AWFUL LOT OF SHIT THAT HAS TO BE CONSTANTLY SHOVELED OUT SO THAT CONTAMINATION DOES NOT OCCUR. The clean up is constant and since TURKEYS ONLY CONSUME AND IGNORE THEIR WASTE, it is unfortunate that those around them must clean up the mess they make. And being BIG, STUPID, SINGLE MINDED BIRDS, THEY MAKE A BIG MESS WHEN MOVING ON TO BULLY IN OTHER AREAS.

SHIT IS NO FUN TO CLEAN UP!!!!!!!!!!!! ECONOMIC SHIT MAY LACK THE ODOR BUT DOESN'T LACK THE UNSIGHTLY AND DAMAGING PILES OF  PROBLEMS CAUSED BY THE VARIOUS STAGES OF ECONOMIC INCONSISTANCES:THE UPSET OF SYSTEMATIC BALANCES BETWEEN TAXATION AND SPENDING; THE DIARRHEA OF SPENDING RECKLESSLY; THE CONSTIPATION OF  HORRENDOUS DEBT: THE MIND BOGGLING CACKLING OF THWARTED TURKEYS; AND THE EVENTUAL COLLAPSE OF A ONCE
PROSPEROUS ECONOMY.  Thus the inevitablity of a SHORT AND STUPID TURKEY LIFE THAT LEADS TO DEMISE.

So, when the ECONOMIC WASHINGTON TURKEYS GET YOU DOWN don't despair. HOW soon their demise will become reality  I can't predict, but I can assure that unless they change FROM TURKEYS TO ANOTHER MIND SET, it will come. Then it becomes a matter of CLEANING UP THE ECONOMIC MESS but it can be done. America can be strong once more.

THE PILGRIMS CAME HERE TO FIND FREEDOM FROM RELIGIOUS HARRASSMENT POST 133

Well it's a week before Thanksgiving and we have a lot of blessings to VALUE and be thankful for and a lot OF SO CALLED BLESSINGS that we need to devalue more. This blogger doesn't have to point out which are which after the election.

America has after all been moving toward Socialism since Teddy Roosevelt. It's simply that we thought we could keep it in check but those who support the "Cause" don't wish to share the SPOILS WITH NON-BELIEVERS. So, we have reached the stage of 'ALL OR NOTHING AT ALL" and unfortunately the PIONEERS WHO SETTLED THIS COUNTRY ARE LONG GONE, the PILGRIMS who fled here to find FREEDOM have since departed this world, and the ANCESTORS who kept the FLAME OF A FREE PEOPLE ablaze have joined them.

We are not only in a new century but the generations in the last half of the twentieth century were unwilling to make sure their children and their children's children had a strong realization of America and the American dream. Education was left in the hands of the Socialists, who removed history as a requirement and Civics as a foolish waste of time because they were busy rewriting the parts that interfered with their view of a new Socialist America.

Even our educators themselves didn't see the lacks in the system often they were simply busy administering all the new forms or teaching their own small area with no time to worry about what had happened to the good solid American education they received.Many of the new educators were products of the new non-patriotic, non-American, non-religious system that the Socialists developed. The reasons sounded plausible. They always do until the realization takes hold.

The Socialists are well grounded in patience and slow warfare and good at punishing those who block them or disagree with them. to scare the hell out of the opposition. They educate their leaders, train them and scatter them hither, thither and yon to carry out whatever needs to be done. THEY HAVE PLACES IN YOUR COMMUNITY to run the programs they endorse without announcing themselves. A long time ago, they calculated that it would only take 10% of a truly committed group who fought for the "cause" to change a country to Socialism. Those 10% could convince enough of the rest of the population, particularly after enough freebies were in operation, to overvote, overwhelm, or over shout the rest. It has worked for them over and over again. You don't throw out a good plan that yields success.

What doesn't work for them, and  they have learned to compensate for this as well, is the basic plan of socialism. It has a PERFECT RECORD OF FAILURE all over the world. It has bankrupted countries, brought them more poverty and hunger, done none of the grandiose promised shangri-la joy for many, or produced what our Socialists call a fair share. Meanwhile, it has enriched the loyal few to riches heretofore unavailable and beyond measure. America is the PLUM--THE RICH PLUM TO BE PLUCKED WITH GREAT VIGOR. SOROS, the titular head of the world party, WILL DIE RICHER, MORE CONTENT, AND WITH MORE POWER THAN EVEN HE COULD HAVE DREAMED OF HAVING.

How do the Socialists overcome the underlying fallacy of their great social plan when it fails continually?????????? It's always someone else's fault!!!!!!!!! Someone else did the wrong thing not them and socialists are attempting to overcome it!!!!!!!!!! They admit no fault--no error--no opposition to their basic plan. THEY HAVE DEVELOPED LOTS OF RHETORIC FOR THIS AND USE IT FREELY and they see folks as gullible or willing to believe it so they don't have to be bothered.

AND THEY ARE NOT PUT OFF BY DISAPPOINTMENT WHEN THEY LOSE!!!!!!!!! THEY HAD AL GORE SLATED TO BRING SOCIALISM TO AMERICA (NO WONDER THEY HATE GEORGE BUSH AND BLAME HIM FOR EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!) BUT IT FELL TO OBAMA TO TAKE THIS STUBBORN, FREEDOM LOVING, STRONG COUNTRY TO THE BRINK.

They keep espionage at the forefront so that they can FIX BLAME on some poor, unsuspecting, hormone heavy, non-socialist  (TALK TO GENERAL PETRAEUS ABOUT IRAQ AND HIS CONFLICT WITH OBAMA) and while ruining the victim's reputation or TRYING TO strangle their bank account ( TALK TO TRUMP ABOUT THE ATTACK ON HIS EMPIRE). Socialists work to convince the public of their socialistic innocence while making others look like the guilty fools who perpetrated errors. They do this in small and large ways and it is a constant for them to use partial truth with many untruths to accomplish their purpose. THEY FEEL THE CAUSE CAN DO NO WRONG. Just as they blamed Europe's tanking economy as Soros put it on the lack of total committment to the Socialist plan. WHEN WILL THEY RUN OUT OF PLAUSIBLE EXCUSES-NEVER!!!!!!!!!!! UNLESS THE PUBLIC SEES THEM AS JUST THAT AND TURNS THE CLOCK AROUND.

THAT'S WHAT RONALD REAGAN ACCOMPLISHED, TEMPORARILY, BUT OTHER POLITICIANS COULDN'T WITHSTAND THE OPPOSITION . IT CAN BE DONE BUT NOT WITHOUT A CLEAR VIEW OF WHAT IS HAPPENING TO YOU AND YOURS AND FACING UP TO THE FACT THAT AMERICA IS ABOUT TO LOSE ITS MOST IMPORTANT WAR!!!!!

Losing an election can be fixed eventually. Losing a country is A MUCH BIGGER PROBLEM!!!
Encourage the Congress. Don't fall for the RETORHIC that the Congress is at fault. OBAMA WON'T REALLY COMPROMISE "THE CAUSE" and we have only the House of Representatives standing between FREEDOM AND SOCIALISM.

OBAMA SAID ON TV THAT HE AND MICHELLE TALKED AT HOME ABOUT WHAT AN HONOR THEY HAD RECEIVED TO BE ABLE TO LEAD THIS NATION.  What was not included in that comment and probably not understood by many WAS THE UNSPOKEN MEANING OF THE SENTENCE............ WAS TO LEAD THIS NATION..... TO SOCIALISM!!!!!!!!!!

Stop bashing the losers of the election as the non-compromisers. Obama said in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS DURING HIS FIRST TERM THAT HE WAS NOT BACKING OFF ON ANY OF HIS DECISIONS--PERIOD--DOUBLE PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! So Compromise must come from both sides to make America whole again but that does not mean SIMPLY GIVING IN to either point of view. There must be common ground economically. This does not have to be a nation divided by a concept of rich and poor. That's always going to exist. China has rich and poor. Islam has rich and poor. All of Europe has rich and poor. THAT'S JUST NOT AN ISSUE.  There is NO SUCH THING AS A "FAIR SHARE OR SHAKE". THAT'S A CHILD'S FAIRY TALE. But there is such a thing as a world made better and Americans doing better BY GOOD FINANCIAL POLICIES!!!!!!!!!!!! SOMETHING OUR LEADERS PAST AND PRESENT HAVE FORGOTTEN.

CURRENTLY THERE IS NO WAY TO MAKE A BUDGET BECAUSE WE ARE SO FAR IN DEBT!!!!!!!!!! UNLESS YOU SET THE DEBT ASIDE TO BE PAID OUT OF A PORTION OF TAXES AND MADE A BUDGET OUTSIDE THE DEBT. NUMBERS CRUNCHERS WILL FIND THIS AN UNEASY SOLUTION BUT IF CERTAIN FUNDS ARE ALLOCATED TO PAYING DOWN DEBT AND CAN'T BE USED FOR OTHER PROJECTS - DEBT WILL EVENTUALLY GO AWAY!!!!!!!!! IF A BUDGET IS STRUCK WITH REASONABLE LIMITATIONS AND ALL FAT PRODUCING ITEMS ARE REMOVED AND NO,,,I REPEAT....NO NEW ONES ARE ADDED THEN A BUDGET WILL WORK. IT WILL BE TIGHT AND DIFFICULT BUT IT CAN BE DONE.

OUR CONGRESSMEN MUST FACE UP TO THE FACT THAT PET PROJECTS HAVE TO BE SET ASIDE FOR ANOTHER TIME. WE CAN'T COPE WITH THE THINGS THAT MUST....MUST BE DONE IF WE ARE PAYING FOR LOTS OF PERKS THAT COULD OR SHOULD WAIT UNTIL WE ARE FISCALLY SOUND ONCE AGAIN. THE SQUEEKY WHEEL GETS THE OIL - POST 131

Hi,
The tragedy in the Northeast was very sad and upsetting but something we witness in Florida too often to whine. However, since Northeasterners believe it is the SQUEEKY WHEEL THAT GETS OILED, we're certain to hear a lot of squeeking for a long time. We're sorry for their loss and hope the next time Florida is faced with so much disaster that we will become 4 day constant media coverage. After all, we keep getting told we are the fourth largest state and critical to the election.

Speaking of elections (and this blogger does that often), One  wonders what effect this disaster across the country will have on the voting. Think the Socialists will feel the disaster pain AND NEGLECT TO VOTE!!!!!!! Will  it  occur to them to wonder if there is really a God protecting America!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course not!!!!!!!!!! It's an act of nature that has no control?????????? They assume science is all and knows no higher power!!!!!!!!!! Why would they be open to any other ideas but the  ones they're so comfortable ASSUMING?????????????

Speaking of SQUEEKY WHEELS as this blogger WAS DOING, Governor Chris Christie, the Republican of New Jersey, who was touted as a "good" Presidential candidate,  is a firm advocate of Squeeky Wheels!!!!!!!!!!!! He was ready to back Obama's campaigning as a dedicated Presidential figure in order to help his state become first in line with FEMA. IT WAS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF TIT FOR TAT POLITICS.  Christie definitely proved that he is not an advocate of "God helps those who help themselves" BUT rather the GOVERNMENT HELPS THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES TO FEMA'S MONEY!!!!!!!!! Ah well, he talks the talk, and walks the walk so he must be a true NORTHEASTERNER. YOU DID GOOD FOR YOUR STATE GOVENOR but NEW YORK AND THE REST OF THE DISASTER AREAS< WHO ARE STILL WAITING FOR FEMA, WILL PROBABLY NOT UNDERSTAND YOUR REASONING ABOUT NEW JERSEY!!!!!!!! They had some pretty scary disasters destroying their childhood memories as well.

This blogger has talked about American ingenuity and saw an example accidently on the television coverage of recovery in New York City. Wish there were more details and some reporter had picked up on the positive side of the story. A gentleman, maybe in his thirties, has invented a wood burning- fire supporting - generate electricty contraption that he took  to the streets of New York in the Battery and further uptown! The beauty of this invention is that he could boil water over the fire and provide coffee, tea and hot chocolate for the cold commuters while they waited to charge their phones on his invention!!!!!!!!!! NOW IF THAT'S NOT AN EXAMPLE OF OUR AMERICAN KNOW HOW, THIS BLOGGER HASN'T A CLUE WHAT IS!!!!!!!!  DID OUR MEDIA REALLY TAKE NOTICE???????????????? SO FAR, NO. SPEAKING OF GOVERMENTS (and this blogger does that a lot too because financial economics is often in their hands) with all the DISASTERS NEW YORK CITY HAS SUFFERED IN RECENT YEARS THAT HAVE SHUT DOWN TRANSPORTATION AND BRIDGES--WHY HAVEN'T THE MAYOR AND COUNCILMEN OF THE CITY USED THEIR MANY TRUCKS TO TRANSPORT NEW YORKERS OVER THE BRIDGES AND INTO THE CITY????????? If any city government ever owns more vehicles in greater numbers than New York, it will probably have to become an auto agency!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE ARE ALL THOSE EMPTY TRUCKS -- FULL OF DEBRIS??????????? WELL, MAYBE PEOPLE SHOULD BE MORE IMPORTANT FOR THE FIRST FEW DAYS OR AT LEAST SPLIT THE DIFFERENCE. ANYTHING ON WHEELS SHOULD BE SET IN MOTION TO HELP THEM GET AROUND.

I'M SURE THERE WERE OTHERS LIKE HER. THE MAYOR COULD TAKE A LEAF OUT OF THEIR BOOK!!!!!!!!!

WE HAVE TO REALIZE THAT TOO LITTLE MEDIA ATTENTION IS NOW FOCUSED ON THE POSITIVE ASPECTS OF AMERICANS AND THEIR INITIATIVES. Not only are we a helpful people but we are a problem solving nation of folks who will find a way to succeed. WELL, NATURE TAUGHT US AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! This blogger learned a lot from this storm and each natural disaster has a great deal to teach each of us. Plus it blows the air clean of all the pollutants that we add daily to our atmosphere and lives. Perhaps there are always lessons to be learned from nature's disasters if we take the time and effort to find them. Economically, we have a big lesson that this storm's cost will bring to the forefront.

Hi,

This is the week that voting begins in most places and the silly season ends on November 6. This blogger is hoping that the MEDIA will be MORE SENSIBLE  in future elections because they have taken the rhetoric another volume higher and are TRIVIALIZING our country's POLITICS  and candidates; just as they are adept at TRIVIALIZING ALL THE ISSUES.

However, this blog is not about the past but the future. In the coming weeks, the electorate will determine if we remain a country of free will or one that is under government control. Whatever happens will determine the future of our country for many years. As a nation we are going to have to live with that decision and the budgetary changes that will bring.

We are not going to be out of the FINANCIAL WOODS FOR AN INDETERMINATE PERIOD OF TIME. Even if our Congress and the President pull in their belts, our country's debts will still have to be paid! Eventually. That alone will be a tremendous burden for Americans and their children's children. We have reached a point in our financial history that the foolish spending of all past administrations has caught up with our country. It goes back to the time when Ronald Reagan dragged us out of the financial mire and gave us another chance to succeed. A CHANCE that ensuing administrations just couldn't seem to follow.

ECONOMICS MAY NOT BE YOUR STRONG POINT BUT FRANKLY THERE ARE FEW READING THIS BLOG WHO COULD HAVE DONE MUCH WORSE IN THE YEARS AFTER REAGAN THAN OUR CONGRESS AND THE ADMINISTRATIVE STAFFS. IT IS SHOCKING TO REALIZE THAT WE ENTRUSTED OUR COUNTRY'S WELFARE TO A BUNCH OF MATH DEFECIENT EGG HEADS WHO WERE SUCH FINANCIAL DEADBEATS THEY CHOSE TO LOSE OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY AND RAPIDLY.

This is the situation a NEW ADMINISTRATION FACES. If the positions are filled in Congress and the oval office by CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT, it will be a long hard struggle to rectify and fullfill our promise as a country by FOLKS WHO ACTUALLY DO THE MATH.  And the public will face the problem of repaying those debts. THERE'S NO MAGIC WAND, FOLKS!!!!!!!!!!!

If the NEW ADMINISTRATION is  Socialist AND bent on SAVING THE WORLD.  LOTS OF LUCK!!!!!!!!!! ONCE THE PRESSES PRODUCE  (BY INJUDICIOUS PRINTING) MORE DOLLARS, WE ARE LOOKING at A DEFICIT THAT CAN NEVER BE REPAID. WE WON'T EVEN HAVE ENOUGH TO SAVE OURSELVES, LET ALONE THE WORLD. And all those "friends?" we've helped won't be there to LEND US if they have anything to loan.

OUR ONLY HOPE FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE IS THE INGENUITY OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THEMSELVES WHO HAVE ALWAYS COME THROUGH WITH THEIR EXPERTISE AND INVENTIVENESS. IF THEY ARE ALLOWED BY WHICHEVER FORCE IS IN COMMAND TO EXPAND AND PROFIT FROM NEW IDEAS FROM WHICH NEW TAXES CAN ROLL, WE CAN LOOK TO A BRIGHT FUTURE.

IF OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS CAN BUTTON UP THEIR  ENDEAVORS, SACRIFICE THEIR PET PROJECTS, AND TURN OUR CITIZENS LOOSE IN A WAY THAT ALLOWS THEM THE CHANCE TO PUSH THEIR IDEAS AND INVENTIONS THROUGH, WE CAN EVEN EVENTUALLY SAVE OUR PART OF THE WORLD.

This blogger is saying if we ever needed INVENTORS, INVENTIONS, NEW PROCESSES, AND NEW IDEAS............THIS IS THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LET OUR ENTREPRENEURS, INVENTIVE GENIUSES, PRACTICAL REASONERS, AND INTUITIVE AMERICANS STEP FORWARD INTO THE BREACH! LET THIS BE OUR ARMY TO MAKE US STRONG AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! LET THEM KICK THE ASS OF OUR ENEMIES AND NAY SAYERS.  LET THEM TURN DROSS INTO GOODS AND GOODS INTO PROFIT AND PROFIT INTO TAXABLE INCOME AND PROVIDE JOBS............JOBS.................JOBS FOR OUR INDUSTRIOUS POPULATION.

What does that mean for the Congress? EACH STATE GOVERNMENT AND ITS CITIZENS MUST INSTRUCT THEIR CONGRESSIONAL REPRESENTATIVES TO REMOVE PET STATE PROGRAMS which the state must henceforth manage  UNTIL WE ARE OUT OF THE FINANCIAL WOODS and beyond.

Talk about COURAGE IN BATTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doing that in the states is  LIKE WALKING IN FRONT OF AN ANGRY FINANCIAL  FIRING SQUAD but IT HAS TO BE DONE. GOVERNORS BE A SOLDIER FOR OUR ECONOMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE CONGRESS MUST MAKE  A STATEMENT OF DEBT WITH A PLAN THAT IS BASED  ON PAYING IT DOWN FROM A PORTION OF TAXES. A SEPARATE BUDGET WOULD  EXCLUDE THE DEBT AND BE BASED ON PROGRAMS THAT CANNOT BE REMOVED FROM OUR FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS.   A REALISTIC PATTERN OF REGULAR PAYMENT MUST BE MADE ON THOSE ITEMS AND SET UP AS PART OF  THE REMAINING TAX RETURNS.

THERE'S NO WIGGLE ROOM IN THIS SET-UP AND AMERICANS MUST BE MADE AWARE OF WHAT DEFAULT ON OUR DEBTS REALLY MEANS: A COMPLETE COLLAPSE OF AMERICA AS WE KNOW IT!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS WHY WE WOULD FACE HIGHER TAXES  THERE IS NOTHING OR NO ONE THAT CAN UNDO WHAT HAS BEEN DONE.

Well, we had a few laughs this week and the last debate hovers over us as we find ourselves nine days from early voting in Florida and elsewhere as well.

This blogger has been amazed that SOCIALISM has not been mentioned once in any of the PALAVER that we have heard from our candidates. AND THAT SHOULD MAKE YOU VERY SUSPICIOUS. When candidates running for office on both sides of the spectrum are unwilling to mention the primary factor that is fueling an election, BE AFRAID. You are considered too dumb to understand what's happening to America.

BE AFRAID. BE VERY AFRAID!!!!!!!!!!

It means that we as voters MUST CHOOSE A STRONG AND NEW SENATE SO THAT THE CONGRESS CAN PRESENT A STRONG FRONT FOR CONTROLLING SOCIALISM IN AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS NOT GOING AWAY BY ITSELF!!!!!!!!!!! WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO CONTINUE TO FIGHT FOR A FREE, CAPITALISTIC ECONOMY AND OUR

When did elections become POPULARITY CONTESTS?????? WHAT WE WANT AT THE HEAD OF OUR GOVERNMENT IS A STABLE,  EFFICIENT AND  QUALIFIED LEADER WITH MORALS AND IDEALS THAT CORRESPOND WITH THE AMERICAN CONSTITUTION AND DREAM.  WE DON'T NEED A POPULAR TV STAR WITH A DIFFERENT VISION.

 TV's immersion into MAKING BIG BUCKS in PROMOTION AND ADVERTISING has long ruined their programming as writers try desperately to meet the criteria set out by nin-com-poops.This blogger finds the demise of  THE NEWER HGTV a good, more recent example.

When major networks lost their MOJO,   little recognized CHANNELS HGTV and FOOD  put out more entertainment in one year than occured in the previous ten years of major networks. It was delightful, absorbing, and instructive.

WHY??????? Talent costs money and doesn't sell enough products. TV is a selling tool. They, of course, did not admit the bias but what would you expect?  If you're selling POTATOES, you're not going to credit RICE with  much TIME OR PRAISE. It was interesting to see WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND when a female NBC commentator got caught in the OBESITY WEB that NBC has been weaving. Now SOCIALIST HEALTH EXPERTS believe that unless you're thin, you're probably subversive since everyone knows thin thinks and fat needs to shrink !!!!!!!!!! One of NBC's viewers insulted the lady newscaster, who didn't take it (YEAH!!! PUT HER ON ANOTHER CHANNEL WITH MORE GUTS) and she aired her views about BULLYING

TROUBLE IS----TV BULLIES PEOPLE ALL THE TIME AND THAT'S WHERE THE KIDS ARE GETTING POSITIVE FEEDBACK FOR THIS 'SICK' TRAIT!!!!!!!!!!  TV'S  BULLYING BEGINS and ENDS WITH THEIR BOTTOM LINE. SALES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND RECENTLY THE COMPUTER HAS DECIDED TO JUMP ON THE GRAVY TRAIN!!!!!!!!!!! THAT WILL LEAD NO WHERE GOOD.

 The email page works less well than it did BEFORE  YAHOO STARTED PUTTING POP UP ADS ALONGSIDE  MESSAGES.  It interferes with all the workings of the email page and THEY ONLY SAY THEY NEED THE AD REVENUE BUT THEY'VE GOT ADS EVERYWHERE BUT ON THE EQUIPMENT AND I SUPPOSE THAT'S NEXT. So they COULD AFFORD TO LEAVE THE EMAIL AS A PRIVATE and non invasive entity. WHERE ARE THESE DARLING GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS WHEN YOU NEED THEM????????????? AS USUAL-OUT TO LUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!

THAT'S NOT ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!! We then are told in no uncertain terms - who won the debate and why but that WON'T BE ENOUGH to WIN that person  the role of President since there are TWO more DEBATES. What do you bet that the OTHER candidate will win te next one?????? The FINAL debate THEN becomes a TOSS-UP AND INSURES THE VIEWER'S CONTINUED INTEREST. THE FUTURE HOLDS 'ROBOT RUNNERS' POST 126

This blogger has touched on the technological revolution a number of  times as a period of crisis in America and across the world.

Most Folks think of technology as  computers or maybe phones or both. But there is a depth to what's happening that hasn't really shown itself. One of the factors and one for which many Americans can thank their lucky stars is the robot technology.

A good many citizens deplore the idea that  many of our products are made in other countries with a loss of control, quality, and safety. TA DAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ROBOTS ARE HERE TO SAVE OUR FACTORIES. There are still a good many factories in the United States making goods, and the reason? CHEAP LABOR??????  NOPE?????  ROBOTS!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!

Robots are industries' salvation because labor costs in this country exceed the margin where profit can occur. Now it is true that people have to run robots and skilled people at that but it takes a fraction of that kind of labor WHO HAVE A SHOT AT higher wages.  MORE FACTORIES, MORE ROBOTS, MANY, MANY MORE WORKERS WHO BECOME  HIGHLY PAID SKILLED EMPLOYEES AS "ROBOT RUNNERS"!!!!!!!!

How does that ALSO help our unemployment situation??????? SOMEBODY SKILLED HAS TO MAKE THE ROBOTS THAT MAKE ROBOTS!!!!!!!!!!! But that's not all. The number of opportunities to create new products will be vastly enhanced. Robots are able to get into teensy-tiny places that humans can't REACH so the opportunities for new products and industries is endless. Each of those new industries will employ top notch staff and those are jobs that trained, "middle-class" folks with college or technical training can fill.

On top of tha,t Robots can reduce  packing and shipping cost. The proximity of  factories makes getting products around the country more efficient than shipping across a continent. AND IT KEEPS ALL THE MONEY AT HOME IN AMERICA!!!!!!!

FARMING HAS LONG USED MACHINERY.  ADD ROBOTS TO THAT FORMULA AND WE CAN AGAIN PRODUCE OUR OWN GOODS and have to import less. WE'LL ALSO NEED LESS OUTSIDE IMPORTATION OF LABOR SO THAT IMMIGRATION LAWS CAN BECOME RATIONAL AGAIN. MENIAL JOBS that hinder a working force can be assigned to the ROBOT FORCE and thus relieve the current feeling of 'HAVING NO TIME'. BANKS HAVE moved into technology through the computer in a big way. ROBOTS MAY WELL REPLACE THE TEDIOUS TASKS THAT MONEY COUNTING ENTAILS WITH VIDEO CAMERAS TO SECURE THE PROCESS as it does in some packing and shipping ALREADY.

DID PRESIDENT OBAMA HAVE TO GIVE OUR GENERAL MOTORS FACTORY TO CHINA??????? NOT IF HE WAS ON THE LEADING EDGE OF PROGRESS IN THE TECHNOLOGICAL FIELD. ROBOTS ARE ALREADY USED IN CONSTRUCTING CARS AND THAT COULD HAVE BEEN EXPANDED. OBAMA COULD HAVE BEEN THE INNOVATOR AND FOUNDING FACTOR OF A GM PLANT RUN WITH FEW EMPLOYEES AND MANY ROBOTS WHO MANAGED ROBOTS!!!!!!!!! HE LET HIS POLITICAL AGENDA GET IN THE WAY OF GOING DOWN IN HISTORY AS A BRILLIANT LEADER!!!!!!!!!!

After all, this blogger has to assume Obama heard about the Technological Revolution from someone like George Soros, who makes millions on his skills for achieving success!!!Obama's PROMISE AS A YOUNGER MEMBER OF THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH TO "CHANGE" SHOULD HAVE GIVEN US LEADERSHIP IN ROBOT TECHNOLOGY (INSTEAD OF A ROBOT-LIKE LEADERSHIP) AND ADVANCED OUR CAPABILITIES FOR THE FUTURE IN THE UNITED STATES. IT MIGHT HAVE MADE UP FOR SOME OF OBAMA'S OLD FASHIONED IDEAS IN RUNNING HEALTH CARE. INSTEAD HE CHOSE TO SELL US OUT because of his political philosophy AS A MANUFACTURING NATION TO CHINA AT A TIME WHEN TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE EXPECTATION!!!!!!!!!!

What the Press fails to tell its readers and viewers is THAT WHEN A DOWNTURN HAPPENS THE REASON IS SIMPLE. IT IS TIME FOR INNOVATION!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS TIME TO FIND LEADERS WHO UNDERSTAND AND WELCOME A NEW AND BETTER WAY TO DO THINGS NOT  LEADERS WHO force people to accept a step backwards.

THE FUTURE IS A WORLD WE DON'T RECOGNIZE OR PERHAPS FEEL COMFORTABLE EXAMINING WHEN IT INCLUDES ROBOTS, DRONES,AND DRIVERLESS CARS. THESE ARE ALL PRODUCTS OF TECHNOLOGY AND ARE JUST THE TIP OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL WONDERS THAT CAN THRUST AMERICA UPWARD AND ONWARD WITH THE PROPER LEADERSHIP. WE ARE DONE WITH THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS OVER!!!!!!!! KAPUT!!!!!!!! FINISHED!!!!! TIME TO MOVE ON INTO THE TECHNOLOGICAL WORLD AND ENJOY THE PROFITS IN BOTH BUSINESS AND PLEASURE!!!

Think about how foreign computers seemed just a short time back when most people were still using TYPEWRITERS AND ADDING MACHINES AS THE COMPONENTS OF THEIR WORK. Would you willingly go back to typing on a machine that won't erase your errors in a flash or take you to Home Depot to shop WHILE YOU SIT ON YOUR BUTT ???????? We're talking just a generation here of change and we're looking at another generation of technological change ahead. HOW MANY HOME BUSINESS OR HOME JOBS NOW EXIST BECAUSE OF TECHNOLOGY???? AND HOW MANY NEW AND OLD ENTERPRISES DO BUSINESS BETTER AND FASTER WITH CELL PHONES AND THEIR NEXT GENERATIONS??????? AND HOW FAST DID ALL THAT MATERIALIZE. THINK ABOUT  IT.

There was an article in our NEARBY follow-Obama-newspaper that caught this blogger's eye MAYBE entitled the "Economy is too complicated for the President or Government to control it" or some headline of the sort!

Ok. Yeah, the American economy is very complicated!!!!!!!! That's a given but CONTROLLING it and INFLUENCING IT are two words with different meanings. The article claimed that the home mortgage market debacle had it's roots elsewhere. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT THE GOVERNMENT'S INVOLVEMENT AND INFLUENCE WASN'T A MAJOR PART OF THE MESS!!!!!!! GOVERNMENT INFLUENCE LED FANNIE MAE AND FREDDIE MACS TOTAL CULPABILITY for the subprime market's dmise.

ANOTHER ARTICLE caught my this blogger's eye in August. One that I saved because it is very quotable. It points out that FANNIE MAE--a Government CONTROLLED PROGRAM--bought a large volume of Countrywide Financial Corp.'s subprime mortgages (that company's subprime mortgages were held accountable in the snowball of debt that started the nation's foreclosure crisis).

Two points of interest were the takeover of Countrywide by Bank of America in January, 2008 relieving the financial services industry and regulators of having to clean up the bancruptcy of a company that "serviced 9 million U.S. home loans worth $1.5 Trillion at a time when the nation faced a widening credit cris, massive foreclosures and an economic downturn", according to The Associated Press. Plus they didn't have to prosecute and pay off millions of law suits. And we now know that Bank America received a major bail-out from the Government. NO GOVERNMENT INVOLVEMENT????????

In Countrywide Financing's heyday they also made "hundreds of discount loans to buy influence with members of Congress, Congressional staff, top government officials, and executives of troubled mortgage giant, Fannie Mae, according to a house report" that the Associated Press got around to reporting in August. Among those many names that surfaced were top executive branch officials and three chief executive officers of FANNIE MAE. NO GOVERNMENT INVOLVEMENT???????????

THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE COMMITTEE reported that a VIP loan program "was a tool used by Countrywide to build goodwill with lawmakers and other individuals positioned to benefit the company....in the years that led up to the 2007 housing maket decline
(CRISIS IS MORE LIKE IT), Countrywide VIPs were positioned to affect dozens of pieces of legislation that would have reformed FANNIE and its rival FREDDIE MAC. (BOTH GOVERNMENT AGENCIES--REMEMBER!!!!!!!) SURE, NO GOVERNMENT INFLUENCE!!!!!!!

DID YOU HEAR OF ANY OF THOSE VIP LOAN TAKERS IN WASHINGTON OFFERING TO SHARE THEIR BONANZA WITH THE DEFAULTED LOAN TAKERS? Well, the shouting and the conventions are over. Not sure they offered much in the way of real facts; however, the convention glitches were interesting.

The Republicans had their birth issues and the Democrats their God issues plus the Demos couldn't fill a stadium for their candidate. I guess they didn't realize he isn't as important as football. Well, whatever!

This blogger recommends the BOOK or film documentary "2016" by DINESH D'SOUZA, CITIZEN and Indian immigrant. He points out two important facts. One that we know very little personally about Obama and show little interest in his background. That's very true and this blogger believes there are two important issues in this lack. We have all come to depend on TV to tell us the truth or gossip and we have become very insulated by technology in general so that we know little about our neighbors' back-grounds. This is not necessarily a good societal condition. Communication (gossip if you will) often served the purpose of keeping us up to date on both the fine attributes of our neighbors and the harmful ones. The rest we found out at Church. Now there's little cohesiveness to draw people together so it's no wonder, we don't wonder at the secret life of our President. We are NO LONGER A VILLAGE OF NEIGHBORS

THE AUTHOR'S SECOND POINT AND PERHAPS THE MORE IMPORTANT FACT ABOUT OBAMA IS THAT HE IS NOT ONE OF US!
