Puzzled by the machinations of our present politicians? Would you love a little straight forward rhetoric or even a "talk the talk" attitude from them.
When is a WAR NOT A WAR??????????? Does it depend on the fact that it's not just your Military folks doing the bombing? If twenty countries gang up on one country does that make it a GANG BANG AND NOT A WAR?
Does it depend on the fact that the country is only having the hell bombed out of it and there are no SOLDIERS ON THE GROUND MINING THE DEVIL out of the cornfields??????? Is it the fact that erstwhile PRESIDENT OBAMA was making nice in South American Communist countries instead of being at the helm of our State Ship where HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN when we agreed to be part of a UN INSURGENCY???? Or was it because HE BEGGED the UN to let FRANCE LEAD THE STRIKE ON Libya and take the BLAME OR GLORY ACCORDING TO held CONVICTIONS and hide America's role in all this?????????????
When the pilots are in the air bombing how do they tell that those bombs only KILL THE BAD GUYS WHO ARE THWARTING THE GOOD GUYS?????????? Puzzled by all of this???????
GADHAFI and his regime appear to have been highly unfair at least as far as the media has indicated. He seems to have beeen repressive and ruthless for some time. America always sides with folks who desire FREEDOM from despotic rulers, who deny that FREEDOM. After all RETAINING OUR FREEDOMS is number one on Americans agenda and allowing others the same choices seems the humanistic thing to do.
However, why is BOMBING OTHER COUNTRIES ONLY OKAY WHEN THE UN SAYS IT IS????????? America is aware or at least it seems to be aware that the UN is Communist dominated and that Communism like Islamism espouses the inclusion of everyone in their religions. (Remember COMMUNISM IS THE RELIGION OF ATHEISM OR THE STATE) So, is this a clue that these Arab revolutions are being controlled by and started by the Communists in an effort to take over those vast regions????????? Is this a war between COMMUNISM AND ISLAMISM and is America just a bystander????If so, why don't we keep our bombers at home and let them DUKE IT OUT????????????? It just might make America's future problems less complicated.
AND WHEN DID THE UNITED NATIONS BECOME RULLERS OF THE WORLD--INCLUDING AMERICA??????????????????
This is not hard-nosed thinking. Remember, there were REVOLUTIONS IN IRAQ AND IRAN with new constitutions set up and voting for all with citizens rejoicing at their freedoms. AND WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT?????? Setting up a new government takes more than just wishing and dreaming.
I HOPE EGYPT IS MORE SUCCESSFUL than Iran or Iraq since they certainly controlled the LEAST BLOODY and MOST successful overthrow of a dictator thus far. They conducted the business of changing their method of government with thought to their country's well being. It certainly bodes well for them.
It takes an understanding of what a nation's government is to mean; how it will be structured; and who will lead it into freedom for the citizens. AND above all real commitment on the citizen's part to keep it in place.
BLOODY REVOLUTION AND A NEW GOVERNMENT does not guarantee CHANGE FOR THE BETTER. It only guarantees CHANGE!!!!!!!!!! And that can be for the WORSE. Bloody revolutions not only destroy the LEADERS OF A COUNTRY BUT DIMINISH RESOURCES AND LAW. Sometimes, there is no other way to DETHRONE a ruler or rulers and the destruction can possibly be justified but the loss is the same.
Frankly, the distance between America and the vast Arab region adjoining Asia is far greater than miles. We have little understanding of their beliefs, concerns or political dynamics. SO WHY ARE WE IN A THIRD "not" WAR IN THE MIDDLE EAST THAT LOOKS AND ACTS LIKE A WAR?????????

There's only one conclusion for the present FORKED TONGUE that can be ascertained. AMERICANS DON'T WANT MORE WAR so to protect those in office from winding up with a George Bush reputation and loss of popularity, America is not going to admit to being in another war. However, OUR RESOURCES ARE BEING USED TO BRING GADHAFI TO HIS HEELS. OUR PLANES, OUR AIRMEN, OUR TAXES are all a big part of this INSURGENCY??????????
THE UNITED NATIONS question is the most scary one of all. When America asked legitimately for help in Iraq, the largest members blocked any UN help, leaving the smaller countries assisting us without official sanction. Why hasn't America refused when the country is already involved in two other wars in the Middle East that the UN has officially virtually ignored??????

Hi,
I've got a few Economic and political problems in my sights this week so we'll cover the first.
RED China (and remember for all its progress, it is still RED) has been waging war on our currency since 2009. Obama evidently doesn't inspire confidence in other countries with his economic policies (YA THINK??????) and China has in the past made a series of attacks on the dollar as well as questioning Mrs. Clinton on its trustworthiness. China also laid out a paper from the People's Bank of China with an alternative to the dollar of an international Monetary Fund. GUESS WHO'D RUN THAT????????? Since China holds nearly over $2 trillion in foreign debt, the bulk of it denominated in dollars, it is natural to be worried about Obama's, the Federal Reserves and the US Government's monetary policies.
You'd think in light of that, our government would not be balking at reducing the health care bill. The arguments that it will not increase debt are fairy tales. It will add hugely to further debt. If we lose the dollar advantage, and China or others refuse to buy our treasury bonds, we will have to pay higher rates for our debt. And that could be a real problem. What happened to examining debt as related to income so paying that debt does not become a problem.
Further than that, wasn't it part of our moral and ethical attitudes that debt needs to be honored. Paying one's bills was what our economy was built upon and honoring one's debt is a rather sacred trust. Credit cards and mortgages may have somewhat altered that attitude. Citizens began to feel they deserved to have what they wanted and the government could pay the bill. We NEED TO GET BACK TO HONORING OUR DEBTS BEFORE WE INCUR MORE DEBT!!!!!!!!!That's so obvious, I almost hate to write it. COME ON FOLKS. It's the only way our system of government can work. HONOR!!!!!!!!!!PRIDE!!!!!!!!!!!HARD WORK!!!!!!!!!!HONESTY!!!!!!!!!! which EARNS FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!! WE NEED TO RENEW THOSE CONSTITUTIONAL VOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok., I touch this at all because HISTORY has gone down the drain with FINANCIAL HONESTY. To the detriment of all concerned the "African slave trade" existed for centuries long before America became involved. Good old Europe, the lands we love, brought it to this country. And hear this only a small percentage ended up in North American territory! THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT ANY RIGHTER, however, it does put in perspective the fact that WE DIDN'T INVENT IT (by the way Africa did and is still doing it) and a large part of our country never condoned it and went to WAR to change it. So, isn't it time for the United States to stop wearing the HAIR SUIT and our black Americans stop using A POOR RECOLLECTION OF HISTORY as a weapon. Let's get on with being Americans and making our country the best it can be!
WHAT'S AUSTRALIA GOT THAT WE HAVEN'T GOT??????????Hey, it's a SENSE OF ITSELF AND COUNTRY!!!!!!!!! And a FEMALE PRIME MINISTER who is courageous enough to tell it like it is!!!!! She said in earlier rhetoric that immigrants, not Australians, must adapt so they must take it or leave it. Australia, that is!!!!!!!!!! She also indicated that she was tired of her nation worrying about offending some individual or their culture. She indicated that Australian culture was developed over two centuries of struggles and trials as well as victories (COULD BE AMERICA CLAIMING THE SAME) by men and women who sought freedom.
She went on to say that Australians speak mainly English, most believe in Christian principles on which the nation was founded (SOUNDS LIKE AMERICA AGAIN!!!!!!!!) and that if this offends anyone, she suggested they move on to a new place to call home. She accepted their beliefs and asked IMMIGRANTS to accept Australia's beliefs to create harmony and peace. Muslims, who wanted to live under Islamic Sharia law were asked by the Government to get out of Australia as listed as radicals.
And I love this quote although I'm not sure where it came from: "THIS IS OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, AND OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. SO WHEN DO AMERICANS GET THE GUMPTION TO EMULATE THE PRIME MINISTER OF AUSTRALIA AND STAND UP AND BE COUNTED!!!!!!!!!!! The immigrant situation is NOT GOING AWAY. It demands action. We must deal with it not only effectively but with regard to law. We have given the immigrants, who are here, the benefit of our bounty and if they entered legally, they earned it. If they did not enter legally, they have still received the benefits, but need to go home and come back as legal aliens. We can offer a larger quota for a limited time. None of this is inhumane and in the case of escape from a hostile regime, we can make special law. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!! That's what the law is supposed to do. DEAR GOVERNMENT-STOP MAKING MOUNTAINS WHERE ONLY MOLEHILLS EXIST!!!!!!!!!! We've been solving problems for 200 years+. We can solve this one.
There has been a lot of email about the Muslim situation as it relates to this country. Distress has risen as the world has grown smaller and people recognise the muslim population's increase in countries across the world. Obama, who is sympathetic (at least) to the tenants of that religion, behaves alarmingly when he proposes law favoring Muslims and denies America's Christian heritage. Perhaps he should re-acquaint(?) himself with America's history. Australia's stand on the issue should point the way for our Congress.
As far as the Muslim situation in this country and others, we have to recognise the Muslim war against Christianity has been going on for 1000 years. It's not new and is not going to end just because we think it should. FACE UP!!!!!!!!!!! Muslims want your SOUL or your ASS and they really don't care which you choose!!!!!!!!! It's your country. Stand up and be counted.

THE TSUNAMI OF LIFE POST 54
Hi,
The Japanese tsunami was eye opening in a number of ways and should predict some economic changes for America.
First and foremost, a strong earthquake can bring in a wave not only 30 or more feet high but WITH intense increases as it flows its length. In Japan's case the tsunami traveled over 6 miles inland carrying all size houses and buildings with it. Not only did it move forward at 50 mph but it surged backward (as the ocean does) and thrust forward again creating new energy. It was incredible to watch and forewarns of imminent disasters ready to occur the world over.
There was a time in Japan (and may be a time again) when they did not build close to the coastline in the earthquake basin but as more and more citizens desired waterfront property for one reason or another, the building began to take place. This is true on coastlines across the world and of course, very true on our seashores!!!!!!!!!!
California is on a major fault line, the San Andreas fault. It is a good case in point. If the damage in Japan is GOING to cost over $10B, the cost in a California disaster boggles the mind since everything seems to cost more there. Also the buildings being so close together in some areas, or precarious in other areas, become a disaster from earthquakes or tsunamis waiting to happen. Although California, like Japan, has tried to structure major buildings in recent years to withstand earthquakes, one wonders if any structure can easily withstand a disaster of 8.9 or more intensity.
Beside all the death and destruction, the damage to nuclear plants, thought to be secured against such an event, were rocked so badly that their back-up generators were destroyed and the only saving grace were batteries, obviously not able to hold out long. What does that tell us??? Well, look to America's nuclear electricity and figure it out. In areas that are earthquake or even tsunami prone, "we got trouble, brother, RIGHT HERE IN 'NOW' RIVER CITY"!!!!!!!!!!!!
Much will be learned from Japan's disaster and improvements at high cost will be made (much of it paid for in taxes or higher prices) but the most that man can do with natural disasters is attempt to save lives by forewarning systems. And this brings up an interesting point that I have been pondering.
What drives man to seek religions of all sorts and cling to them?
When viewing the recent disaster, it becomes fairly obvious. First, one has to admit that above all MAN SEEKS CONTROL OF EVERYTHING.
But NATURE is always well beyond MAN'S CONTROL. Oh, folks like Al Gore like to pretend that we actually control the elements in a negative way and therefore, we should be able to CONTROL THEM IN A POSITIVE way. Sounds wonderful but it's a FAIRY TALE!!!!!!!!!! About the best man is able to do is to avoid NATURE where possible. Snow storms, floods, hurricane etc., etc. depend primarily on AVOIDANCE AND CLEAN-UP.
It also explains why MAN follows the RELIGION OF COMMUNISM. And I'm not stuttering here. Look at the fanaticism, loyalty, and strategy of increasing membership in Communism and you find a RELIGION OF ATHEISM. BELIEF is an identifiable source of CONTROL that MAN can CLING TO so that the natural disasters have a reason, a source of control in which MAN can believe.
PLEASE, I'm not putting Religion down here. I am saying that there is a strong and crisis invoking need for strong belief and MAN considers one type of religion or another THE CORRECT ONE, AND finds within that scope of that belief, the control and answers needed for MAN'S INABILITY TO DEFEAT NATURAL DISASTERS and/or DEATH.
Think about it!!!!!!!!!In the sixties, WE DECIDED THAT IF WE COULDN'T OVERCOME NATURE, WE WOULD ESCAPE FROM IT!!!!!!!!!We began an exploration of space to see if we couldn't move from planet to planet and find if not the perfect environment, at least, another place to live in the event that nature made things too difficult to bear. TOO BAD, IT DIDN'T WORK!!!!!
Now what?????? Well, psychiatrists say the first step in solving a problem is FACING UP TO IT. Can man do that? It is pretty doubtful. It means shedding layers of all kinds of beliefs that are there for the wrong reasons and donning new beliefs that are there for the right reason. So what does Man do??????????
Wish I knew. I do know this much. The desire to CONTROL NATURE is expensive. Our dollars have gone into all sorts of ventures that haven't worked. We once were studying the atmosphere to reroute or reduce hurricanes important to those who face them yearly. What happened. NADA, ZILCH, NOTHING!!!!!!!!! Nature won again! And there are so many instances of our constant desire to change our natural world that it BOGGLES THE MIND AND THE POCKETBOOK. ECONOMICS IS MORE CONTROLLED BY NATURAL ELEMENTS THAN BY MAN MADE DISASTERS!!!!!!!!!!
I can only offer a simple answer. When folks are asked what to do when confronted by old age, they are often told to accept it and put up with the changes and disasters, to secure the easiest and most comfortable existence. It allows life to continue in a less stressful manner and more productively.
I THINK THE ANSWER IS IN THAT STATEMENT. Confront the problems, seek an acceptance of them (isn't that what most religions recommend?) and live as comfortable an existence as possible.
IS THAT GIVING UP? No, it is GIVING IN because it does not preclude a continuing effort to save lives and perhaps discover new ways to overwhelm ADVERSITY. It is simple acceptance that COMPLETE CONTROL is not the answer or the issue.
If MAN can find the truth in that, he can CONQUER HIMSELF because that's where the real trouble abides.

When viewing the recent disaster, it becomes fairly obvious. First, one has to admit that above all MAN SEEKS CONTROL OF EVERYTHING.
But NATURE is always well beyond MAN'S CONTROL. Oh, folks like Al Gore like to pretend that we actually control the elements in a negative way and therefore, we should be able to CONTROL THEM IN A POSITIVE way. Sounds wonderful but it's a FAIRY TALE!!!!!!!!!! About the best man is able to do is to avoid NATURE where possible. Snow storms, floods, hurricane etc., etc. depend primarily on AVOIDANCE AND CLEAN-UP.
It also explains why MAN follows the RELIGION OF COMMUNISM. And I'm not stuttering here. Look at the fanaticism, loyalty, and strategy of increasing membership in Communism and you find a RELIGION OF ATHEISM. BELIEF is an identifiable source of CONTROL that MAN can CLING TO so that the natural disasters have a reason, a source of control in which MAN can believe.
PLEASE, I'm not putting Religion down here. I am saying that there is a strong and crisis invoking need for strong belief and MAN considers one type of religion or another THE CORRECT ONE, AND finds within that scope of that belief, the control and answers needed for MAN'S INABILITY TO DEFEAT NATURAL DISASTERS and/or DEATH.
Think about it!!!!!!!!!In the sixties, WE DECIDED THAT IF WE COULDN'T OVERCOME NATURE, WE WOULD ESCAPE FROM IT!!!!!!!!!We began an exploration of space to see if we couldn't move from planet to planet and find if not the perfect environment, at least, another place to live in the event that nature made things too difficult to bear. TOO BAD, IT DIDN'T WORK!!!!!
Now what?????? Well, psychiatrists say the first step in solving a problem is FACING UP TO IT. Can man do that? It is pretty doubtful. It means shedding layers of all kinds of beliefs that are there for the wrong reasons and donning new beliefs that are there for the right reason. So what does Man do??????????
Wish I knew. I do know this much. The desire to CONTROL NATURE is expensive. Our dollars have gone into all sorts of ventures that haven't worked. We once were studying the atmosphere to reroute or reduce hurricanes important to those who face them yearly. What happened. NADA, ZILCH, NOTHING!!!!!!!!! Nature won again! And there are so many instances of our constant desire to change our natural world that it BOGGLES THE MIND AND THE POCKETBOOK. ECONOMICS IS MORE CONTROLLED BY NATURAL ELEMENTS THAN BY MAN MADE DISASTERS!!!!!!!!!!
I can only offer a simple answer. When folks are asked what to do when confronted by old age, they are often told to accept it and put up with the changes and disasters, to secure the easiest and most comfortable existence. It allows life to continue in a less stressful manner and more productively.
I THINK THE ANSWER IS IN THAT STATEMENT. Confront the problems, seek an acceptance of them (isn't that what most religions recommend?) and live as comfortable an existence as possible.
IS THAT GIVING UP? No, it is GIVING IN because it does not preclude a continuing effort to save lives and perhaps discover new ways to overwhelm ADVERSITY. It is simple acceptance that COMPLETE CONTROL is not the answer or the issue.
If MAN can find the truth in that, he can CONQUER HIMSELF because that's where the real trouble abides.

SHOT IN THE FOOT BY 'GUN'G HO HABITS post 53

There was an article March 1 in Reason, online, passed on to me by one of my loyal followers that lists other reasons for optimism about America's future. AND THE BIGGIE; THE AMERICAN SPIRIT. It is our strength in all avenues including ECONOMICS.
We still retain that 'CAN-DO" SPIRIT that came from our forefathers! The article "Long Live the American Dream" by Shikha Dalmia says it this way:
"Americans have a grab-the-bull-by-its horns quality so that they simply don't hang around hoping for things to get better on their own. If the public school monopoly is failing kids, by golly, then they'll home school them themselves."..........Grass-roots movements such as the Tea Party emerge to rein in the government...........This American spirit, ultimately, is the biggest reason to believe that the American dream is and will stay alive--in America." Dalmia has a lot of reasons why. She says that China and India (she is Indian) lack the capital wealth, have a deficit in infrastructure and a societal deficit. In other words, China and India BRAG A LOT, BUT THEY DON'T HAVE THE REAL MEANS. They lack in their societies some basics that we take for granted: roads, water, sewage. Particularly in China, there is a large gap in societal welfare in particularly the rural areas. In both countries a type of "grinding poverty" exists, which she calls "medieval" with "300 million People" in each country "living on less than $1.25a day". See the last issue of National Geographic with a map showing a similar count.

She cites "America's vast intangible wealth makes everyone more productive and successful." and even in EDUCATION the "literacy rate is 66% in India; and although China claimed "93%, between "2000 and 2005, China's illiterate population has grown statistically by 30million". It would seem a BIT OF FUDGING WAS GOING ON IN THEIR STATISTICS! The problem is their emphasis on elitist education-now happening in both countries. Even with their elitist education (only the brightest get educated) we produce immensely superior graduates and particularly in fields like ENGINEERING.
THE UPSHOT OF ALL THIS: THEIR PUBLIC RELATIONS "BULL SHIT" IS FAR SUPERIOR TO OURS!!!!!!!!!!!! In other words, we don't lie as good BECAUSE WE DON'T NEED TO!!!!!!!!!!!
AND Dalmia says, "By, contrast Americans are their own worst critics--always looking for lessons to improve what is working and fix what's not." She calls China and India's projections the "culture of HYPE". Because of our standards, we are the culture of HOPE.
Alexis de Tocqueville observed ALTHOUGH "AMERICANS WERE THE FREEST AND MOST ENLIGHTENED MEN PLACED IN THE HAPPIEST OF CONDITIONS......a sort of cloud habitually covered their features."......"because they were constantly tormented by a vague fear of not having chosen the shortest route that can lead to....their well being."

We have the largest, most active Public Relations firms in the world and what do we see them doing??????????SELLING FOOD, RESORTS, TRAVEL AND OTHER ASSORTED ANNOYING THINGS ON THE MEDIA. But what do we not have them doing???????????SELLING AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!AND ITS TREMENDOUS STRENGTHS!!!!!!!!!!
PRETTY DUMB. There's an old saying in sales. If you don't talk about your product, it must mean that the other guy's product is better. We have in recent years been criticized into EATING HUMBLE PIE by our jealous fellow world citizens. AND WE HAVE FOLLOWED THEIR ADVICE. EVEN DUMBER!!!!!!!!!!! AND WE ARE DUMB (THAT IS NON SPEAKING!!!) about our love of so much that we enjoy in our country. Why??????????So others won't feel bad??????So others won't be jealous????? So others won't notice??????????PULEEZE GIVE ME A BREAK.
It's time to stop LYING and tell the world just HOW WELL WE HAVE DONE WITH OUR RESOURCES, HOW MUCH WE CONTRIBUTE TO THE WORLD WITH OUR IDEALS, IDEAS, AND INTERNATIONAL OUTLOOK AND CONSUMPTION WHICH OUR FREEDOM ALLOWS.
If they can't handle our SUCCESS maybe they SHOULD TAKE A FLYING LEAP INTO BECOMING A FREE SOCIETY WITH CAN-DO ATTITUDES!!!!!!!!!!!so that they REALLY have a chance to compete with us. WE'VE NEVER BEEN AFRAID OF COMPETITION. WE WELCOME IT BECAUSE WITH OUR BROODING NATURES, IT HELPS US IMPROVE!!!!!!!!!!!
We can afford to let Communism (A RELIGION OF ATHEISM) and Islamists (A RELIGION OF FEMALE SLAVERY) fight for control and destroy each other .
SUPPORT OUR AMERICAN DREAM in THIS HIGH SPIRITED NATION until well-being GETS POPULAR the world over and becomes as comfortable a habit as it is here at home. By our example world FREEDOM and religious FREEDOM could EXIST instead of medieval ATHEISTIC concepts and SLAVERY.
